Tier 1 Sleep Advisor

Location: Edinburgh
Salary: £18,000 per annum pro rata
Salary Scale:  FTE £18,000 to £20,259 pa
Hours: Part-Time 4 – 6 hours per week. Support line hours are Mon to Thurs, 10am to 4pm
Contract: Until end March 2020, with a possible extension depending on funding

With a Big Lottery Grant, Sleep Scotland has been running a Sleep Support Line since 2017. We provide advice, guidance, and support for parents and guardians of children and young people with sleep problems. Due to success of the support line, we are looking to increase the team for busy periods by recruiting an additional Tier 1 Telephone Sleep Advisor to the team.

As a Tier 1 Telephone Sleep Advisor you would provide general sleep support and advice over the phone to the parents and guardians of typically developing children and young people with sleep problems.  By listening to the parent/carer on the telephone , you will work be able to provide ideas and suggestions to improve the situation e.g. a good bedtime routine, gradual withdrawal techniques, action required in the middle of the night etc.
