Volunteering

Here are the current volunteering vacancies at Sleep Scotland and TEENS+.

Board members

We are looking for volunteers to join our board of management. Post holders will contribute to the future of the charity by helping to oversee its strategic development and direction.

The board also oversees TEENS+, which is a transitional education programme for young people with complex support needs and severe communication difficulties.

We are particularly interested in individuals with experience and skills in the following areas:

  • strategic development;
  • marketing;
  • fundraising;
  • monitoring and evaluation.

The board meets for two hours bi-monthly at the Sleep Scotland headquarters in Edinburgh.

If you are interested in helping our charity make a difference to children and young people with additional support needs, please send your CV and covering letter to janet at sleepscotland.org (replace at with @), or call Janet Lindsay on 0131 651 1392.

Volunteer Sleep Counsellor

  • Are you a professional with experience of working with children and young people?
  • Do you have 3 or more hours to spare each week? Perhaps you are retiring or cutting down on your hours of paid work.
  • Would you enjoy the challenge of helping to support families with children with severe sleep problems?
  • Are you interested in a worthwhile and rewarding volunteering opportunity?

We are looking for professionals who are willing to work with families on a voluntary basis. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
