Tier 1 – Telephone Sleep Advisor

Hours: 15 hours per week during the Support Line opening hours – Monday to Thursday, 10am to 4pm

Salary: £19,318 p.a. pro rata i.e. £8,279 p.a. for 15 hours

Location: Edinburgh, some home working

Contract: Until 31 March 2022 initially

Sleep Scotland has been running a Sleep Support Line since 2017. We provide advice, guidance, and support for parents and carers of children and young people with sleep problems through telephone calls and emails. We are looking to recruit a Tier 1 Telephone Sleep Advisor to the team.

As a Tier 1 Telephone Sleep Advisor you would provide general sleep support and advice over the phone to the parents and carers of typically developing children and young people with sleep issues.  By listening to the parent/carer on the telephone, you will work to provide ideas and suggestions to improve the situation e.g. a good bedtime routine, gradual withdrawal techniques, action required in the middle of the night etc. Knowledge of sleep is desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided..
